Our jeans and casual slacks are ready to wear, right off the rack! You won't need to have them shortened or tapered. (That alone can save you $10.00 to $15.00 for shortening and an ADDITIONAL $10.00 to $15.00 for tapering.)
Our jean are available in 2 cuts and 4 colors. Our RELAXED cut (14-ounce, 100% cotton denim) is available in Light Blue (J-1),Medium Blue (J-2) and Black (J-2B). Our CLASSIC cut (11-ounce, 79% cotton-21% polyester) is available in Navy (J-3N) and black (J-3B), with a short rise and narrow, tapered legs. Sizes are limited to 30", 31" and 32" waists. This style is most suitable for men with average-to smaller thighs!
Our casual slacks are tailored in both RELAXED and TRADITIONAL cuts, as well as in PLEATED and FLAT fronts. Not all styles and colors are available in each cut. Many of our slacks are available in 6 colors: Tan (K-1), Stone (cream), (K-2), Dark Blue (K-3), Black (K-4), Olive-Taupe (K-5), and Gray (K-6). For Flat Fronts, designate FF.

LOCATION. Our jeans and casual slacks are available, either by phone order, or in person at our only location, THE SHORT STOP in The Shops at Great Valley, in Malvern (East Whiteland), PA, on Swedesford Road, 100 yards East of Route 29 North, directly across the street from the entrance to Penn State's Great Valley Graduate Campus.

STORE HOURS. Generally, we are open Wednesdays through Saturdays, but you have to call first since specific store hours and days open are subject to change. ORDERING INFORMATION Before ordering, select a pair of pants that fit (Jeans if ordering jeans; your slacks if ordering our casual slacks). DON'T use the tag sizes on the pants you are measuring, as they are rarely accurate! Pants also
tend to stretch, so if you have gained weight since you last purchased the pants you are measuring, the tag size will probably be incorrect.
WAIST: Button the pants, zip up the flies, and measure the INSIDE diameter of the waist. Double this measurement, and record exactly what you measure. For example, if the inside diameter is 19-3/4 inches, double this measurement, for a waist size of 39-1/2". You MUST specify your waist size with a 1/2-inch tolerance, for example, 39" to 39-1/2" or 39-1/2" to 40".
INSEAM LENGTH. Measure from the bottom of the crotch to the bottom of the pants leg. Specify this measurement with a 1/2-inch tolerance, for example, when ordering, please specify 26-1/2" to 27" or 27" to 27-1/2" for an inseam length.
OUTSEAM. Measure along the outside seam, from the top of the waist band to the bottom of the pants leg. This measurement is usually 10" to 11" LONGER than the inseam.
MID-THIGH. Measure the width of your pants halfway between the knee and the crotch. This will help determine the cut you should order. NOTE: Some athletic men (or those who work out) have very large thighs, and consequently, the Classic Cut jeans and Traditional Cut Slacks may be too tight in the thigh area of your legs. Order the Relaxed Cut.
ALTERNATE COLORS AND/OR CUTS. Where possible, give us a second choice for the color. Regarding flat and pleated fronts, if the color is the important issue, can we interchange flat fronts with pleated fronts? Remember to designate "FF" after the style code for Flat Front Slacks. PRICES. (Eff. 3/01/01-Subject to Change w/o notice). All jeans and/or casual slacks, are priced at $40.00 a pair, mix or match. If you order 3 or 4 pairs, the price is $38.00 each; 5 or 6 pairs are $37.00 each. For 7 or more pairs, each additional pair over 6 is $36.00 each.
SHIPPING, HANDLING, AND DELIVERY CONFIRMATION (S+H+ DC) CHARGES. We ship by USPS Priority Mail, within 1 to 3 days (from receipt of order) in the lower 48 states.
EFFECTIVE in 2012, USPS PRIORITY MAIL shipping rates will be increased. The USPS adopts a MULTI-ZONE rate, based on the distance shipped from Malvern. PA 19087.
